the leaves of a tree are green

My story.

Life has brought me so many blessings, challenges and lessons, and each experience has helped me recognise the power of presence in the moment, and a deep gratitude for life itself.

Death came crashing into my world when I lost my husband in a road accident, much too soon. We had three young children, our lives changed forever in a tragic moment, and no final goodbyes.

I have also experienced the loss of both my parents - my father, a beautiful natural death in his own bed, and my mother a prolonged hospitalised death that was beautiful despite the surroundings.

Those experiences reshaped me, and taught me the profound importance of steadiness, compassion, and not trying to do it alone. As a mother and now a grandmother, I hold the values of gentleness, patience and unconditional care at the centre of my work.

Becoming an end-of-life companion felt like a natural step — a way to offer others the support I once needed myself.

Alongside my qualification, I draw on years of offering emotional support and companionship to people in times of change.
Each person I’ve supported has taught me something precious about the value of life, resilience, love and the human spirit. None of it is ours to keep, so we must love today.

My alphabet of important traits I bring to you: Acceptance. Authenticity. Balance. Courage. Dignity. Empathy. Forgiveness. Gratitude. Honesty. Hope. Integrity. Justice. Kindness. Legacy. Listening.
